Using your Hot Tub in the Winter / Colder weather.

Many people drain their spa or hot tub during the winter and colder months of the year. They cover it up and forget about it until the weather starts heating up again.

However, here at Premier Hot Tubs we advise the use of the hot tub all year round ESPECIALLY during those chilli months. You'll find that using the HOT tub, outside in the COLD weather is very pleasurable bathing experience.

Being as the Hot Tub heats and warms the water, why would you want to use hot water in the hot weather? During the summer you're more inclined to want to cool down rather than getting hotter. You could always keep the heat down to a minimum in the hot tub, but then you'd not be working it to it's full potential.
So, why not experience the very special appeal of submergence in warm water in the cold fresh air.....?

Sitting in the hot tub and listening to the relaxing bubbling sound's of the hot tub jets watching the steam rise into the sky will soon transport you to euphoria.

But what about the walk back indoors you say! Well due to the hot tub's warmth and you full body being submerged you'll be heated to your body core.
Simply pop on a dressing gown or towel and you won't feel the chill outside the tub.

Many hot tubs uses promote the health benefits of soaking in a hot tub while in the colder months when there's a chill in the air and snow on the ground.
Many of us suffer from aches, pains and sprains when the weather is colder. When you're cold you're also more likely to pull a muscle or strain a joint. A long soak in a warm hot tub is said to relieve these strains and stiffness.

PRECAUTIONS  WHEN USING A HOT TUB IN THE WINTER

The main risk when using a hot tubs in the winter is obviously pipes freezing.

Things to check to ensure pipes don't freeze:
- Use your timer efficiently. Put your hot tub in eco mode ensuring water has constant flow through the pipes so water is never stationery resulting in freezing.

- Your cover is in good condition and the insulation is secure and not damaged.

- Some customers find a thermal cover is beneficial.  It covers the whole hot tub.

- Keep the hot tub at a suitable temperature so water is not able to freeze.

- Check the water lever of the hot tub regularly. If the water level gets too low pumps will stop working which could result in the heater not working correctly and will then freeze the water.
